502 MYO — Myofunctional Therapy

About 502 MYO

Our content methodology.

How we research, write, and review content for 502 MYO — and what we explicitly do not do. Educational, never diagnostic.

Who writes this content

All clinical content on 502myo.com is written by Gina Sabbak, RDH — a registered dental hygienist and myofunctional therapist based in Louisville, KY. Gina has completed myofunctional therapy training and brings years of clinical experience in dental hygiene and airway-focused oral function.

Gina is the named author and reviewer on every condition page and blog post. Her credentials are stated on the about page. The site does not employ freelance health writers or AI-generated medical copy.

How we choose sources

When we cite a clinical claim, we cite the primary literature. Where possible, we cite peer-reviewed journals, textbook references, or publicly accessible consensus statements (e.g., the American Academy of Sleep Medicine). We do not cite marketing blogs, AI-generated content farms, or sources we have not personally verified.

When we describe a clinical mechanism (e.g., how tongue posture affects facial development), we attempt to describe it at the level of the cited evidence — not overstate it. If a claim is well-established in the literature we say so. If a claim is emerging or debated, we say so. We do not present emerging claims as if they were settled.

What we explicitly do not do

Review cadence

Each clinical page carries a lastReviewed date in its structured data. Pages are reviewed at least annually. If you notice something that seems out of date or incorrect, please contact us — we will address it promptly.

Privacy and PHI

This is a public marketing site. It does not collect protected health information (PHI). Patient intake, scheduling, and records are handled through Gina's HIPAA-compliant clinical platform. Please do not submit medical details via the public contact form on this site.

For clinical questions, log in to your secure patient portal or call (502) 901-8089.

Questions about a specific page?

Every condition page and blog post displays its lastReviewed date. If you have a question, want to suggest an edit, or have new evidence to share, please send Gina a note.
